Smoke Complaints

Air quality issues due to backyard burning should be forwarded to the CVRD at 746-2500. Smoke complaints and or air quality issues fall under the jurisdiction of the Cowichan Valley Regional District, not the local fire department.  

Letter to Residents Regarding Smoke Complaints
 
In the event of backyard burning complains, residents should only contact 911
or the fire department in the event of an actual emergency.
